Overlook 

(verb) transitive

1. to fail to see or notice something
      e.g, The teacher overlooked to enlist the name of John.


           

2. to choose to ignore somebody`s fault, wrongdoing etc.
     e.g, They overlooked his misdoing but next time it will not be the same.



3. to have a view of something from above
